I didn’t come to integrative medicine looking for a career—I came looking for answers.
During my early years studying nutrition in an accelerated undergraduate program, I was working and studying close to 80 hours a week. I learned firsthand how stress, sleep deprivation, and metabolic strain can quietly erode health long before a diagnosis appears. That experience shaped how I practice medicine today and how I meet my patients—with curiosity, compassion, and respect for the body’s complexity.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from The University of Texas at Austin and later worked as a research bio-nutritionist at the University of Colorado Boulder. While research gave me a strong scientific foundation, I saw a gap between data and lived experience. That realization led me to pursue acupuncture and Chinese medicine, where I earned both my master’s degree and Doctorate and completed advanced training in internal medicine, oncology, renal and cardiovascular care, including immersive clinical study in Beijing, China.
Over the years, I have completed three advanced programs in nutrigenomics, developing a deep understanding of epigenetics, metabolomics, and individualized nutrition. As a Certified Genomic Medicine Clinician, Integrative and Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner, and Board Certified in Metabolic & Nutritional Medicine, I use functional testing and nutrigenomic diagnostics to help patients understand how their genes interact with diet, lifestyle, and environment.
As the founder of East-West Wellness in Louisville, Colorado, I work with musculoskeletal pain and injury, but my true passion is supporting people with complex and chronic conditions—including autoimmune disorders, digestive and cardiovascular concerns, oncology support, renal health, and women’s and men’s health. Other tools I may incorporate are custom or patent Chinese herbal formulations, acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, gua sha, and personalized nutrition coaching to create care plans that evolve with each patient.
Unfortunately, Colorado does not require licensure for Nutrition, but I hold licenses in Illinois, New York and Florida. I have also taught Western Bio-nutrition at the college level and continue to mentor nutrition and integrative medicine students nationwide. Teaching keeps me grounded in my purpose: helping people understand their bodies, their data, and their options.
Whether you’re seeking acupuncture in Louisville, CO, holistic health in Denver, telehealth for national access, traditional Chinese medicine, or guidance in longevity medicine, my goal is simple—to meet you where you are and help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
