Join us for a cozy winter celebration at the Library! Enjoy live music, winter crafts for the whole family, and a snowy photo booth perfect for capturing the moment. Sip on something warm, snack on tasty treats, and enjoy the festive atmosphere with family and friends. Drop in on Friday, December 5, from 5–7 p.m. to relax and warm up before heading out to watch the Parade of Lights.

Treat bags and Museum building

Treat Bag Giveaway

The Museum will hand out free Treat Bags for children during the Parade of Lights on Friday, December 5, from 5:30–7 p.m., while supplies last. This tradition began in the 1920s, when Louisville community groups filled bags with oranges, nuts, and ribbon candy. For many children, these simple treats were a special part of the season—and, during the Depression, sometimes the only gift they received.

7 p.m. - Parade begins

Join us in downtown Louisville for an evening of festivities! This beloved holiday tradition includes a dazzling Parade of Lights with twinkling floats & marching bands, visits with Santa & festive fun, plus local choirs & musical entertainment!
