Dispose of batteries safely... for free!
We are excited to offer free battery disposal at the Louisville Public Library from now until (at least) July 2026.
You can drop off alkaline, rechargeable, and lithium batteries at the Louisville Library for free. Before recycling, remember to tape the battery terminals to prevent fires.
Batteries are collected and sorted at the Boulder County Hazardous Materials Management Facility and can also be taken directly to their location at 1901 63rd Street in Boulder for proper disposal.
