City Council Meeting agenda preview

Here's a preview of what Council will be discussing this week:

• Executive session for the purpose of discussing real property acquisitions and dispositions.
• Introduction to Chief Milan, Louisville Fire Protection District's new Chief.
• An ordinance rezoning a portion of the Caledonia Place subdvision plat from commercial community (C-C) and residential medium density (R-M) to mixed-use residential (MU-R), and a resolution approving a prelimary planned unit development (PUD) and special review use to allow 188 dwelling units and 13,534 square feet of commercial space at 1032, 1034, and 1040 E. South Boulder Rd. (This public hearing is recommended to be continued to the February 3, 2026 Council meeting.)
• A resolution designating the residence at 728 Grant Avenue a historical landmark, to be named Koeppler House, and approving a preservation and restoration grant.
• An update from the Parks, Recreation, & Open Space Department (PROS) on their long-range plan and trail system plan.
• Resolutions approving a construction and software as a service contract for the water meter replacement project.
• A presentation and discussion of the 2026 Legislative Agenda.

Council members to host Ward 3 Community Meeting on Jan. 7

Each year, Louisville City Council members typically host one or more community meetings in their wards, in addition to citywide community meetings hosted by the mayor. These meetings are a great way to stay connected, learn more about important community issues, and make sure your questions and concerns are heard!
