Here's a preview of what Council will be discussing this week:

  • A presentation on Superior's Marshall Fire Remembrance Project
  • A potential community survey to receive community input related to five-year Marshall Fire remembrance activities for Louisville
  • A joint meeting with the Historic Preservation Commission and Historic Museum Advisory Board to discuss the Historic Preservation Sales Tax
  • An ordinance that would refer a ballot referendum to voters to extend the 0.125% Historic Preservation Sales Tax through 2039 and expand the purposes for which the tax revenue may be spent
  • Ordinances that would refer ballot referenda to voters for several potential City Charter amendments which would:
    • Align authorized topics for Executive Sessions with State Open Meetings Law
    • Align when Council takes office with current election procedures
    • Increase initiative and referendum signature requirements
    • Update meeting locations
    • Add a review and comment requirement for initiatives
    • Update outdated language

City Council considers written and oral comments equally. Email comments to Council received by 3 p.m. the date of the meeting will be included in the Council addendum and provided to each council member prior to the meeting. If you prefer to address Council in person, you may attend the meeting either in person or virtually.

Louisville's Block Party Trailer is now available!

The City of Louisville now has a block party trailer — reserve it now for your block parties and other community events!

The trailer is stocked with everything you need for a party, including games, tables, tents, trash cans, coolers, and more. It's even equipped with a Bluetooth-enabled sound system to provide the music!

There's no fee to rent the block party trailer, but a $200 deposit is required. If the trailer and all of its contents are returned in good condition, the deposit is refunded. Interested? Fill out the Block Party Trailer Application on our website!

Thank you to Marshall Together for donating this trailer for community use. We're excited to see it out and about in Louisville.
