City Council Meeting agenda preview

Here's a preview of what Council will be discussing this week:

  • Joint meeting with the Historical Museum Advisory Board to share perspectives on the community’s evolving cultural needs, opportunities to strengthen Louisville’s Historical Museum and the preservation of local history, alignment with professional standards and best practices, and priorities for collections and education.
  • A budget update for discussion of the refined Six-Year (2027-2032) Capital Improvement Plan and overview of special events and contracts.
  • Consideration of an agreement between the City and the Main Street Louisville Business Improvement District for Ice Rink management for the 2026/2027 season.

City Council considers written and oral comments equally. Email comments to Council received by 3 p.m. the date of the meeting will be included in the Council addendum and provided to each council member prior to the meeting. If you prefer to address Council in person, you may attend the meeting either in person or virtually.

halloween costume exhange

Drop off your gently used Halloween costumes at the Library through Sept. 30

Haunted by old Halloween costumes? We're now collecting unwanted Halloween costumes in good condition to give away at our Costume Exchange event in October. All ages and sizes are welcome. Drop off by September 30.

Please drop off costumes at the designated locations below:  

This year’s Halloween Costume Exchange is on Friday, October 2 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the 1st floor of the Louisville Library. Free donated costumes will be available on a first come, first served basis.

Any donated costumes not distributed during the event will be donated to the Sister Carmen Thrift Store.
