Senior Services Wellness & Resource Fair

Friday, October 3 @ 9 - 11 a.m.

Are you a Senior age 60+? A family member or caregiver of a senior? If so, you won't want to miss our FREE Senior Services Health & Wellness Resource Fair on Friday, October 3, from 9 - 11 a.m. Learn about finances, home care, hospice, housing, and other senior-related health topics. This event is free, and no registration is required.

Day Trip: Horse Palace Swan Ranch Casino, Cheyenne, WY

Wednesday, 10/29 @ 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Experience the excitement of the Wild West at the Horse Palace in Wyoming.  This cozy casino features a great mix of slot machines, live simulcast horse racing, and off-track betting.  It will be a great day for some fast-paced fun and Western charm.

Swallowing Made Simple-Tips for Easier and Safer Eating

If you or a loved one is having difficulty swallowing, there are strategies that can help. Learn about swallowing and tips for easier and safer eating. Presented by Michelle Becker, a Speech-Language Pathologist, with Boulder Community Health Outpatient Rehabilitation.

A free 90-minute AARP Driver Safety workshop, developed with The Hartford, that helps drivers stay current on vehicle safety technologies.

Brooks Cafe: Serving Weekday Lunch

Brooks Café at the Louisville's Recreation & Senior Center offers a welcoming space for older adults to enjoy affordable, nutritious meals and socialize. Meals are offered Monday-Friday and reservations are required by 1:30pm the day before. To register for a meal, call 303-335-4931 or email pmorgan@louisvilleco.gov.

Benefits in Action Resource Talk

Staff from Benefits in Action will share how they help older adults and underserved communities to navigate and access food and healthcare benefits like SNAP, Medicaid, Medicare, or Social Security.

Resource Programs

Caregiver Drop-In Appointments

Thursday, October 9 @ 10 a.m. -  2 p.m.
The Boulder County Caregiver Initiative supports caregivers of those 60+ or with dementia. Resource Specialists offer personalized information, referrals, and resources during walk-in hours. Walk-ins are welcome.

Medicare Open Enrollment Assistance 

10/15, 10/22, 10/29 with appointment times at either 1 or 2:30 p.m.

The Medicare Open Enrollment period runs from October 15 - December 7, 2025. The BCAAA SHIP Medicare Counseling program will be offering In-person and virtual appointments to assist with the review of your Medicare Part D or Medicare Advantage plan coverage. In-person appointments will be offered at the Louisville Recreation & Senior Center on Wednesday afternoons in October & November. Pre-registration is required.

Join us for our annual event!  We supply the main dish and you bring a side dish please!  If your last name begins with:  A-H bring DESSERT, I-P bring SALAD, Q-Z bring an APPETIZER.
